What is a success coach?

Exactly how it sounds – they are like athletic coaches, but here to coach you to academic success. 

A Success Coach will meet with a student to facilitate conversations about academic coursework and concerns, time management, personal and career goals, motivation, note-taking and refer students to campus resources. Coaches will help lead the way, but students are expected to be responsible and accountable to utilize resources that are suggested to them.

An initial appointment is around 45 minutes to determine what an action plan will look like for the student, and areas of focus to discuss moving forward. After the initial appointment, each meeting will take around 30 minutes, and students can meet anytime or as frequently as they would like depending on their coach’s availability.
