Yes! Family members will have their own orientation sessions throughout the experience. You will meet campus leaders who will help you prepare to best support your student during college. 

There are several hotels available in Athens, here are a few of our preferred:

• Holiday Inn Express

Due to laws and guidelines outlined in FERPA, parents are not allowed to attend the advising session with their students. See more information regarding FERPA.

Housing and tuition can be paid online here and through the students myPortal account under financial aid. Parents are welcome to attend the financial aid session with their students, and any questions pertaining to tuition and aid may be answered at that time. Campus parking is free to students, however, students must fill out a parking pass to register his or her vehicle each year that he or she attends Wesleyan. Students also must have a pass for every vehicle they plan to park on campus. Parking is on a first come, first served basis.  

Tennessee Wesleyan has 24/7 campus security. Students are equipped with an app that has access to a button to call campus security immediately.  

Tennessee Wesleyan has a campus notification system that parents are welcome to sign up to receive notifications. Information is sent to students about how to sign up for notifications within the first few weeks of classes. 

Guests are welcome at any time, but after 10 pm, should be in common spaces such as the lobby of the residence hall.  

Students will need to provide documentation of their diagnosis to the Office of Disability Services at TWDisabilityServices@tnwesleyan.edu. Once the documentation is reviewed, the student will be notified of their approved accommodations. It is the student’s responsibility to communicate approved accommodations to their professors/faculty.
