Or, you can branch out and make new friends and find new interests and passions. That's where our clubs and organizations help. We've got more than 25 student organizations including academic-focused, social-centered and even passion projects. You'll find your place in no time!

Alpha Chi - National College Honor Scholarship Society

Secure your spot in the incoming class by paying your $200 enrollment deposit. Your enrollment deposit is applied to your first semester tuition and is fully refundable until May 1.

Baptist Collegiate Ministries

The purpose of BCM in Athens, TN is to provide Christian ministry to the students of Tennessee Wesleyan University and assistance in their search of God’s truth. The BCM at TWU is designed to education students on Christian faith in a fun and safe environment, in conjunction with development of individual and group effectiveness.

Black Student Union

BSU is committed to providing quality programs and services that promote academic success, equality, and leadership development of students. The goal of BSU is to promote the successful transition, retention, and graduation of students of color by engaging in culturally diverse dialogues, events, and leadership opportunities that will significantly enhance the student experience at TWU.

Bulldog Investment Club

The BIC establishes a fund that allows students to obtain hands-on educational experiences by learning about asset management, financial analysis, and  allow them to experience portfolio management.

Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity (COTAD)

The Coalition of Occupational Therapy Advocates for Diversity is a student-led chapter-based 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and the world’s preeminent occupational therapy organization addressing issues of systemic racism and oppression, occupational injustice, healthcare equity, and educational decolonization. It is a powerful network of individuals, students, educators, and advocates from across the globe all working towards a common goal of promoting diversity and inclusion within the occupational therapy workforce and increasing the ability of occupational therapy practitioners to serve an increasingly diverse population.

Criminal Justice Club

Promote partnership between students in the study and exploration of the law, criminal justice, and related topics and interests. Help students form leadership skills, contribute to their society through service, and to interact with other students that possess similar interests. Form professional relationships with current men and women in the field. Facilitate group visits to various state and federal related institutions to enhance student education in the criminal justice field. Provide a great addition to student’s resumes both for jobs and graduate schools.

Education Ambassadors

This organization promotes a love for education, and strives to instill a yearning for lifelong learning in its members.

Fellowship of Christian Athletes

FCA’s mission and vision are to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, and to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

Goodfriend Business Society

The Goodfriend Business Society brings together business students and students from other fields who are interested in business leadership. They provide business related networking, programming, and business focused social gatherings to better develop and enhance student success.

Greek Council

The purpose of this Greek Council shall be to develop and maintain fraternity and sorority life and inter-fraternal relations at the highest level of accomplishment.

International Club

The purposes of this organization shall be to bring all the International students together, and to help them adjust to the American culture and environment, make friends, and help them succeed academically.

Mathematics Club

The purpose of this organization is to provide a break from academics for those interested in mathematics and mathematics related topics at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

Music Club

The Music Club fosters a love and appreciation for music, provide opportunities for musical expressions, and promotes collaboration and comradery amongst students interested in music life at TWU.

Natural Sciences Club

The primary purpose of this organization is to create an atmosphere where senior students can mentor incoming underclassmen outside of the classroom and establish lasting relationships that will allow those underclassmen to readily and more comfortably consult with the senior members. This allows fellow majors to get to know those people who share the same objectives and interests on a level at which they can more productively work towards a common goal. Additionally, the organization assists the Science Department with various activities around campus, such as the Science Olympiad, and to help foster a love and respect for science disciplines through outreach programs.

Outdoor Club

Promotes fun, physical health, mental health, wellness and fellowship by way of utilizing the great outdoors coupled with physical activity. 

Photography Club

The Photography Club connects students who share a love of photography by establishing a network of photographers on campus to share and experience creative freedom. Students are able to grow their portfolio by photographing events on campus and working with TWU’s Marketing and Communications Department. 

Psi Chi - International Honor Society for Psychology

Psi Chi is an international honor society whose purpose is to encourage, stimulate, and maintain excellence in scholarship of the individual members in all fields, particularly in psychology, and to advance the science of psychology.

Sigma Tau Delta - National Honor Society for English Majors

The Society shall recognize and encourage excellence, among undergraduate and graduate students, in all aspects of English language, literature, and the many closely-related fields, including literacy initiatives.

S.A.L.S.A

S.A.L.S.A’s mission is to educate and celebrate the Spanish culture with the student body.

Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA)

The TWU MOT Program’s Student Occupational Therapy Association (SOTA) is a program-specific, student-led occupational therapy association recognized by the American Occupational Therapy Association (AOTA). SOTA provides MOT students the opportunity to become professionally involved in OT by engaging in community service, networking with OTs and other healthcare practitioners, and complimenting their educational experience at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

Prysm

Prysm provides a safe space for all persons regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or religious beliefs. Our goal is to spread the word about gender and sexuality issues and promote a community of equality in the surrounding area.

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association holds bi-weekly meetings to hear the voice of students on campus, work with other organizations, and contribute to overall life on campus.

Theatre Club

Our mission is to provide an opportunity for students to participate in theatrical productions and assist the program in any way possible.

Wes Team

The purpose of the organization shall be to provide TWU students with emotional support in the form of groups and peer-to-peer listening. 

Young Life

Young Life connects and fosters new relationships amongst students as well as to provides a place where students can be introduced and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.

TWU prepares students with the transformative experience and to be well-rounded leaders who make a positive impact on the world.
