Who Can Transfer to TWU?
A transfer student is any student with 15 or more semester hours of college credit. Anyone may transfer to Tennessee Wesleyan, and there are no prerequisite courses.
Transfer applicants must have a cumulative transfer grade point average of at least 2.00 from all postsecondary institutions attended.
Your Previously Earned Credits Are Important
TWU’s Registrar’s Office evaluates all completed coursework to determine transferable credits. To see which of your credits will transfer in, get the application process started today.
Articulation agreements are equivalency tables for courses taught at local community colleges. With these agreements, TWU takes the guesswork out of how and which credits will transfer.

START AT CLEVELAND ST. FINISH AT TWU
Did you know, Tennessee Wesleyan University (TWU) and Cleveland State Community College (CSCC) have a dual admission agreement that will allow a student enrolled at Cleveland State Community College to automatically be admitted to TWU once they complete their associate’s degree? The purpose of this partnership is to establish programs that promote successful experiences for students who wish to go further and complete their bachelor’s degree.
A Win-Win for Students!
Under this program, students will work with TWU’s staff and academic advisors. Students will be able to view their entire degree plans and receive a TWU student ID card. The card will allow access to all regular season TWU athletic events, cultural events and speakers. Additionally, the student ID will permit use of the TWU library services and access to TWU bookstore promotions for students. And if that wasn’t enough, TWU will reserve a scholarship award for each student based on the higher of their high school senior year credentials or CSCC transfer GPA. It’s not where you start that’s important, it’s where you finish. Let Tennessee Wesleyan be your finish line.
