TWU Dental Hygiene Students Celebrate 100% First-Time Pass Rate on the National Board Dental Hygiene Exam

Tennessee Wesleyan University is proud to announce that its Dental Hygiene Class of 2026 has achieved a 100% first-time pass rate on the National Board Dental Hygiene Examination (NBDHE), a significant milestone that reflects both student excellence and program strength.

The NBDHE is a rigorous 350-question standardized exam that all dental hygiene graduates must successfully complete in order to apply for licensure. The exam assesses candidates’ ability to understand and apply critical concepts related to dental hygiene practice, patient care, and clinical decision-making.

“This outstanding accomplishment highlights the dedication, perseverance, and professionalism of the Class of 2026, as well as the strength of TWU’s comprehensive curriculum and faculty support,” said Dr. Randa Colbert, Program Director of Dental Hygiene. “We are incredibly proud of our upcoming graduates for setting such a high standard of excellence.”

TWU’s Dental Hygiene program is known for its commitment to academic rigor, hands-on clinical experience, and personalized faculty mentorship. This achievement underscores the program’s continued success in preparing students for professional practice and licensure.

TWU is excited to celebrate this accomplishment as a testament to the hard work of its students and the unwavering support of its faculty and staff.
