Tennessee Wesleyan University celebrated its 2025 Winter Commencement on Friday, December 12^th, honoring 88 total graduates. The ceremony recognized 59 bachelor’s degree recipients and 29 master’s degree recipients, representing a wide range of academic programs across the University.

     Some of the most represented programs included the Master of Business Administration, Master of Science in Business Analytics, and Bachelor of Science in Nursing. 

    Family members, friends, faculty, and staff gathered to celebrate the accomplishments of the graduating class as students marked this significant milestone in their academic journey.

    A highlight of the ceremony was the commencement address delivered by Sam Goodin, a Tennessee Wesleyan graduate whose academic journey is defined by extraordinary resilience. A native of Athens, Goodin completed his Bachelor of Science in Business Administration with a focus in Industrial Management while battling a rare and aggressive cancer. His story of determination, faith, and persistence resonated deeply with graduates and attendees alike.  

      In his address, Goodin encouraged his fellow graduating seniors to carry forward the lessons learned through challenge and growth, reminding the graduates that true success is foraged through perseverance in the face of hardship.

     “We are all survivors of something,” Goodin shared with his classmates.  “As we graduate and move on to the next stage in life, remember that your challenges can shape you, but they do not define you. Be resilient, find the good, and always give your 100%. Most of all, know that God will provide you with what you need, replacing your losses with blessings. You only need to trust in Him.”

   Tennessee Wesleyan recognized the Class of 2025 for their commitment to academic excellence and applauded the loyalty they have shown to the TWU campus throughout their academic journey.
