Once you land at TWU, you'll find multiple ways to discover and connect with people with interests similar to yours, or you can branch out and make new friends and find new interests and passions. That's where our clubs and organizations help. We've got more than 30 student organizations including academic-focused, social-centered and even passion projects. You'll find your place in no time

Alpha Chi

Alpha Chi National College Honor Society is a certified member of the Association of College Honor Societies. Membership is extended to juniors, seniors, and graduate students who rank in the top 10% of their academic class. Alpha Chi members are recognized as distinguished scholars and part of one of the largest and most prestigious honor societies worldwide.

 

Baptist College Ministries

 

The purpose of BCM in Athens, TN, is to provide Christian ministry to the students of Tennessee Wesleyan University and assist in their search of God’s truth. The BCM at TWU is designed to educate students on Christian faith in a fun and safe environment, in conjunction with development of individual and group effectiveness.

 

Black Student Union

BSU is committed to providing quality programs and services that promote academic success, equality, and leadership development of students. The goal of BSU is to promote the successful transition, retention, and graduation of students of color by engaging in culturally diverse dialogues, events, and leadership opportunities that will significantly enhance the student experience at TWU.

 

Bulldog Investment Club

The BIC establishes a fund that allows students to obtain hands-on educational experiences by learning about asset management, financial analysis, and portfolio management.

 

Chess Club

The TWU Chess Club is open to students who enjoy the game of chess, whether they are beginners or experienced players. The club provides a relaxed and welcoming environment for members to learn, practice, and sharpen their skills while connecting with others who share an interest in chess.

Criminal Justice Society

The TWU Criminal Justice Society promotes partnership between students in the study and exploration of the law, criminal justice, and related topics and interests. Members form leadership skills, contribute to their society through service, interact with other students that possess similar interests, and form professional relationships with current men and women in the field. Members visit various state and federal related institutions to enhance their education in the field. 

 

Delight Ministries

Delight Ministries is a Christ-centered women’s ministry that creates space for college women to grow in their faith and build meaningful community. Through small groups, fellowship, and encouragement, Delight Ministries seeks to remind women of their God-given worth and identity in Christ.

 

Delta Zeta Phi

Delta Zeta Phi is a local fraternity founded at Tennessee Wesleyan. It was established to encourage members to strive for higher standards of excellence in all areas of their lives. The chapter is a social, as well as philanthropic society and makes every effort to help further the community at Tennessee Wesleyan University by example, works, and spirit.

 

Education Ambassadors

Education Ambassadors promote a love for education and strive to instill a yearning for lifelong learning in its members.

 

Fellowship of Chrisitan Athletes

FCA’s mission and vision are to see the world transformed by Jesus Christ through the influence of coaches and athletes, and to lead every coach and athlete into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ and His church.

 

Goodfriend Business Society

The Goodfriend Business Society brings together business students and students from other fields who are interested in business leadership. They provide business related networking, programming, and business focused social gatherings to better develop and enhance student success.

 

HOSA

HOSA–Future Health Professionals is a student organization for those interested in pursuing careers in healthcare. The organization provides opportunities for professional development, leadership growth, and hands-on learning while connecting students with peers who share a passion for health sciences.

 

InterHealth Collective

The InterHealth Collective is a student organization for those interested in healthcare and wellness. The group brings together students from various disciplines to explore health-related topics, collaborate, and promote a holistic approach to health and well-being.

 

International Club

The purposes of International Club shall be to bring all the international students together, help them adjust to the American culture and environment, make friends, and help them succeed academically.

 

 

Kappa Beta Gamma

The Alpha Sigma Colony of Kappa Beta Gamma sorority was established at Tennessee Wesleyan in 2018. This international sorority was founded in 1917 at Marquette University in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Kappa Beta Gamma sorority’s purpose is to improve its members morally, socially, and intellectually to promote sisterly relationships.

 

Math / Engineering Club

The purpose of the Math and Engineering Club is to provide a break from academics for those interested in mathematics, mathematics related topics, and engineering at Tennessee Wesleyan University.

 

Music Club

The Music Club fosters a love and appreciation for music, provide opportunities for musical expressions, and promotes collaboration and comradery amongst students interested in music life at TWU.

 

Natural Science Club

The primary purpose of Natural Science Club is to create an atmosphere where senior students can mentor incoming underclassmen outside of the classroom and establish lasting relationships that will allow those underclassmen to readily and more comfortably consult with the senior members. This allows fellow majors to get to know those people who share the same objectives and interests on a level at which they can more productively work towards a common goal. Additionally, the organization assists the Science Department with various activities around campus, such as the Science Olympiad, and to help foster a love and respect for science disciplines through outreach programs.

 

Outdoor Club

The Outdoor Club promotes fun, physical health, mental health, wellness, and fellowship by way of utilizing the great outdoors coupled with physical activity. 

 

Phi Alpha Honor Society

Phi Alpha is the national honor society for students in social work programs. The organization recognizes academic excellence while promoting leadership, service, and commitment to the values of the social work profession.

 

PRYSM

Prysm provides a safe space for all persons regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, race, or religious beliefs. The organization’s goal is to spread the word about gender and sexuality issues and promote a community of equality in the surrounding area.

 

S.A.L.S.A.

S.A.L.S.A’s mission is to educate and celebrate the Spanish culture with the student body.

 

Sigma Kappa

The Gamma Psi chapter of Sigma Kappa sorority was established at Tennessee Wesleyan in 1961. This National Panhellenic Conference (NPC) sorority was founded in 1874 at Colby College in Waterville, Maine. The purpose of Sigma Kappa sorority is to provide women lifelong opportunities and support for social, intellectual, and spiritual development by bringing women together to positively impact their communities.

Sigma Tau Delta Honor Society

The Sigma Tau Delta Honors Society shall recognize and encourage excellence, among undergraduate and graduate students, in all aspects of English language, literature, and the many closely-related fields, including literacy initiatives.

 

Social Work Club

The Social Work Club is dedicated to helping those in need by being a voice that is against violence and an advocate for awareness for social issues. Social Work Club strives to strengthen their school and community while advancing social and economic justice on a local and global level.

 

Student Government Association

The Student Government Association holds bi-weekly meetings to hear the voice of students on campus, work with other organizations, and contribute to overall life on campus.

 
 

Table Top Games

The Tabletop Games Club brings together students who enjoy board games, card games, and role-playing games. Open to all experience levels, the club offers a relaxed and social environment for members to play, learn new games, and connect with fellow gamers.

 
 

Theatre

The mission of Theatre Club is to provide an opportunity for students to participate in theatrical productions and assist the program in any way possible.

 

TPUSA

TPUSA brings together students interested in conservative ideas and political discussion. Members engage in conversation, events, and activities that encourage civic involvement and leadership development.

 

W.E.S. Team

The purpose of the organization shall be to provide TWU students with emotional support in the form of groups and peer-to-peer listening. 

Young Life

Young Life connects and fosters new relationships amongst students as well as to provide a place where students can be introduced and grow in their relationship with Jesus Christ.
