BIOGRAPHY
Mack Alas is the Assistant Track and Cross-Country Coach at Tennessee Wesleyan University as of the 2025 Cross Country season. He specializes in distance running and manages the Cross Country team and the distance athletes in the Track program. He has experience in the fields of Track and Cross-Country spanning over ten years as an athlete himself. He took on the role of an Assistant Track and Cross-Country Coach for his high school alma mater the year after he graduated and before beginning his academic and athletic career at Tennessee Wesleyan as a student for four years, graduating with a bachelor’s in education. During his high school and collegiate career as a Track and Cross-Country athlete, Mack has developed an in-depth knowledge of the sports and competed at the NAIA National Cross Country Championships in 2024. His goal as a coach and mentor is to raise up individuals who are not just talented athletes but also educated scholars and well-rounded adults who will contribute to building future communities. Mack tells his athletes the same hard work and devotion to others they have on the track and the cross-country course is the same hard work and devotion to others they should bring into every area and devotion of their lives, so that they succeed and help others succeed as well.
