BIOGRAPHY

Dr. Davis joined the Department of Health and Human Performance at Tennessee Wesleyan University as an adjunct instructor in 2009, teaching both activity-based and topical courses. She began her career at TWU in 2006, serving on staff as a coach for volleyball (8 years) and softball (10 years). Her extensive coaching background has helped shape her leadership style and fostered strong time management and communication skills, which translate effectively into the classroom—both in-person and online.
In recent years, Dr. Davis has embraced online teaching, bringing energy, structure, and student-centered learning to virtual classrooms. She is passionate about sport and physical education and believes that physical activity is a vital component of student success and well-being. Her goal is to create opportunities for students to engage in movement, no matter the setting, and to promote a lifelong appreciation for physical activity.
Throughout her time at TWU, Dr. Davis has been proud to contribute to the growth and evolution of the HHP department, helping provide students with a diverse and enriching educational experience. She values the supportive community at TWU and is honored to be part of such a respected institution.
Outside of her professional life, Dr. Davis enjoys spending time with her family, outdoor activities, reading, and sports. She appreciates the little things in life and treasures time with her husband, Joel Davis (a 2004 TWC graduate), and their sons, Mason and Myles.
