Shannon Graves was born in Dalton, Georgia in 1972, but soon after, her family returned to East Tennessee. She now reside in Riceville, where she has lived the last 26 years.

After graduating from McMinn Co. High School, she attended Cleveland State Community College, focusing on Business Administration.

She attends Mt. Verd Baptist Church, serving as a Pre-School Sunday School teacher and secretary of her Women on Missions group.

Outside of work and church, she loves spending time with her family, shopping, going to Cades Cove, and summer beach trips.
