Bio

Mrs. Tracy Franklin is the Literacy Instruction Professor, Director of Clinical Practice, and Licensure Officer in the Education Department. In Literacy, Tracy teaches the Literacy development, Reading Instruction, Assessment, and Intervention for all Elementary and Special Education candidates. She models evidence-based, inclusive instructional practices that align with current literacy research and state standards. Tracy attends Walk-throughs, professional developments, and district meetings at the Pre-kindergarten through High School level.

As the Clinical Practice Director, she collaborates with cooperating teachers and school administrators to ensure meaningful Clinical Practice experiences. Tracy observes, assesses, and provides feedback to candidates, supporting their professional growth and readiness for licensure. She maintains accurate records related to candidate licensure eligibility and program completion.
