Bio

After serving four years in the United States Marine Corps, Cliff served as a deputy sheriff in Leon County, Florida. During his time there, he served as a narcotics detective, violent crimes detective, patrol deputy, school resource officer and a member of the department SWAT Team. He left the department to serve as a police chief in Goodland, KS, Great Bend, KS and Athens, TN.

He holds an MPA as well as a BS with a double major in Criminology and Psychology from Florida State University. He’s also completed various professional education programs including Harvard’s Executive Education in State and Local Government, Northwestern’s School of Police Staff and Command, and the FBI National Academy.

He’s currently working toward his Doctorate in Public Administration at Valdosta State University.
