Tennessee Wesleyan University is proud to continue its commitment to providing affordable, accessible higher education through the TWU Pledge, a last-dollar tuition scholarship that allows HOPE Scholarship-eligible new freshman students with a family adjusted gross income of $50,000 or less to attend TWU tuition free.

     Open exclusively to Tennessee residents, the TWU Pledge has already provided many students the opportunity to pursue their degree without the burden of higher education tuition costs.

     Students who have benefited from the TWU Pledge say the scholarship has made a meaningful difference in their college experience.

     “I’m very grateful for the TWU Pledge scholarship because it has really helped ease the financial stress of college and allows me to focus more on my studies,” said one TWU student. “I truly appreciate the support TWU provides to us students.”

     Lacey Weese, Vice President of Enrollment Management, said the scholarship has not only supported students financially but has also opened doors to higher education for families across Tennessee.

     “One of the things that I am most proud of is our TWU Pledge,” said Weese. “We have always known that TWU is affordable, but so many families were scared of the sticker price, not knowing how many great scholarships we give out each year. By taking the uncertainty and fear out of the equation, we have been able to help so many new students truly see themselves here at Tennessee Wesleyan. I think our past record enrollment is a true statement to how much our students need the TWU Pledge.”

     The TWU Pledge reflects Tennessee Wesleyan’s mission to provide life-changing educational opportunities to students across the state.
