Freshman Admission Requirements

Tennessee Wesleyan Univeristy currently offers two options for acceptance criteria.
- Traditional Acceptance: To be traditionally accepted, this policy requires that the student meet a minimum unweighted 2.25 GPA with an 18 ACT score and 950 SAT score. We do accept ACT super scores.

- Test-Optional Acceptance: To be test optionally accepted, this policy requires that the student meet a minimum unweighted 2.75 GPA with no test requirements.

If the student chooses our Test-Optional Acceptance, they agree that they would like TWU to base their acceptance and scholarship solely on their GPA. Once decided, they will not have the option to change their choice.

Application Process

1. Request that your high school guidance counselor submit a copy of your transcript to TWU’s Office of Admission.

2 Take the SAT or ACT and submit your results to Tennessee Wesleyan (SAT code: 1805, ACT code: 4014).

3. Visit campus! Schedule a tour by calling (423) 746-5286 or 1-844-PICK-TWU.

4. Complete the online application
