Program Description

Housed in the Health and Human Performance department, exercise science has health-related physical fitness at its core. Experiences within the exercise science degree include multiple lab-based courses, hands-on learning experiences, collaborative research projects with faculty, internships within the department, athletics, and the community, the Health and Human Performance club, and the Exercise is Medicine on Campus® initiative.

Career Opportunities

Exercise science prepares students for careers and/or graduate study in exercise physiology, athletic training, strength and conditioning, the fitness and wellness industry, and many other career paths. You might see exercise science graduates as physical or occupational therapists, athletic trainers, fitness and wellness trainers, and more.
