TWU Concludes “We are Wesleyan” Campaign, Surpasses $25 Million Goal
Tennessee Wesleyan University is excited to proudly announce the successful conclusion of its comprehensive fundraising initiative, the We Are Wesleyan campaign, which exceeded its ambitious $25 million goal and raised a remarkable $32.1 million. This is 128% of the campaign target.
Originally launched with a goal of $19.25 million, the campaign goal was later increased to $25 million in response to strong early momentum. Through the generosity of alumni, friends, faculty, staff, and community partners, the campaign ultimately raised $32.1 million in support of the University’s students.
“We Are Wesleyan has been a defining, exciting chapter in the history of our university,” said Dr. Tyler Forrest, President of Tennessee Wesleyan. “Every gift has strengthened our mission and expanded opportunities for both current and future students. This campaign reflects the deep and genuine belief our community has in Tennessee Wesleyan’s future.”
Campaign funds have supported significant improvements across campus, including enhancements to Sherman Dining Hall, Bobby Goodfriend Field at Athens Insurance Stadium, Banfield-Durham Hall, laboratories in Fisher Hall of Science, Old College, and multiple residence halls. The campaign also advanced major priorities within the Colloms College of Arts & Sciences and the Wilhelm Dental Hygiene Program.
TWU also launched multiple graduate programs and secured $10.3 million in endowed and annual scholarships, dramatically expanding access and affordability for students. Of the total funds raised, $23.63 million represents cash collected and current pledges, and $8.47 million reflects estate commitments.
Tennessee Wesleyan remains focused on several key priorities including the Ingleside athletic complex, Townsend Auditorium enhancements, expanded scholarship support, and annual fund growth.
The success of We Are Wesleyan represents more than the dollars raised. It signifies a community committed to the continued growth and advancement of Tennessee Wesleyan University.
