Tennessee Wesleyan University to host 16th annual Meet TWU
Jul 07, 2016
Shortly after the fall semester begins and students return to campus, Tennessee Wesleyan University will host the 16th annual Meet TWU from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday, August 24, 2016 in the James L Robb Gymnasium. Meet TWU is an opportunity for local businesses and volunteer organizations to come to campus to meet new students and showcase products and opportunities.
“The idea is for students to get to know Athens and the McMinn community and know what resources are available to them,” TWU Director of Career Development Ashley Harris said. “Students can find volunteer opportunities for service hours, possible find part-time work, even find their next favorite place to eat or shop.”
Meet TWU offers local businesses the chance to come to campus for free and showcase products and services, share available jobs, market their company and network with students and other community members present at the event. Local businesses, volunteer organizations, faith-based groups and more are invited to participate in this year’s event.
Meet TWU is sponsored by the Tennessee Wesleyan University Office of Career Development. Attendance is free for local businesses and organizations with pre-registration. To register to attend, please visit www.tnwesleyan.edu. Meet TWU is free for businesses. Registration includes a table and two chairs, as well as lunch for business representatives attending the event.
