Your Orientation Day

You've been waiting a while for this day and it's finally here! We can't wait to meet you and we hope you are just as excited as we are! You will receive your full schedule upon check-in, but the general schedule provides a small overview of what your day(s) will look like. Orientation Dates:

 

Overnight Orientations

Thursday, May 25-Friday, May 26

Thursday, June 15-Friday June 16

Thursday, July 13-Friday, July 14

 

Transfer Orientations

Wednesday, July 12

Wednesday, August 9

 

This is all the information you'll need as you head to campus for your orientation experience. 

 

Transfer Orientation

(First-year students, keep scrolling!)

When you arrive on campus, make sure to follow the "Event Parking" signs. You'll want to park in the large parking lot off of Jackson St. (It's right across from NAPA Auto Parts.)

You'll be greeted by your new classmates who will guide you to the check-in process. 

Check-in time is TBD. Please plan to eat lunch prior to check-in. Don't worry, we will have plenty of snacks for you throughout the day!

You will have receive an email (to your personal email) from our IT team with your TWU email and login information. If you haven't received this by the morning of  your orientation, please submit a help desk ticket

Parents and family members will have their own schedule for the day. Visit the Parent and Family page for FAQ and other helpful info. 

You can expect a lot of information from different areas on campus with some fun thrown in for good measure. The morning will be spent getting to know the basics of TWU and in the afternoon you'll set your schedule and meet with financial aid (this is open to family members as well).

Pro tips for making orientation successful:
1. Wear comfy clothes and shoes.
2. Have an open mind, meet new people and have fun!

First-Year Orientation

When you arrive on campus, make sure to follow the "Event Parking" signs. You'll want to park in the lots by the residence hall, Wesley Commons. This is where you'll be staying overnight and you'll have an opportunity to unload your stuff before the festivities begin!

You'll be greeted by your new classmates who will guide you to the check-in process. 

Check-in begins at 11 a.m. at Colloms Campus Center. You'll check in first and then head to your room to start unpacking. Work up an appetite as you unpack because lunch is right after check in at 11:30 a.m.! 

Since you may not be familiar with campus quite yet, we will have guides outside directing you where you need to go. Don't worry about getting lost!
