U.S. News & World Report recognize TWU as top in region
This week, on the heels of Tennessee Wesleyan’s record enrollment and retention numbers, U.S. News & World Report released their annual Best Colleges Rankings. Wesleyan performed highly in the 35th edition of the rankings, coming in at #16 for both Regional Colleges South and Best Value Schools.
One of three Tennessee schools landing in the top 20, the Regional Colleges South ranking is among colleges in the region who focus on undergraduate education but grant fewer than half their degrees in liberal arts disciplines.
The Best Value School distinctive is selected from the regional grouping of schools and is based on three criteria: ratio of quality to price, percentage of undergraduate students receiving need-based scholarships or grants, and average discount. TWU’s #16 ranking is second among Tennessee schools in the category.
U.S. News added a new category in 2019, ranking Top Performers in Social Mobility. TWU placed in the new category ranking, which highlights schools that enroll and graduate students who are economically disadvantaged.

Wesleyan continues to rank highly in both the Regional and Best Value categories, a testament to the University’s commitment to provide both a high quality and affordable education for students across the area.
