Tuition Changes Announced for 2022-2023

The Tennessee Wesleyan University Board of Trustees convened Friday, October 29, approving changes to tuition rates for the 2022-2023 academic year.

Athens day campus full-time students, as well as students in the Fort Sanders Nursing Department at the west Knoxville instructional site, will see an additional $760 added to tuition in 2022, reflecting a 3% increase.

The per hour tuition rate for Athens day students will increase $10, with courses now at $630 per credit hour. Dental Hygiene tuition will see a 1% increase, the first since the program was acquired in 2019.

“Each year, University administration carefully reviews the cost of attendance for our students, and we work to ensure that we continue to offer affordable and quality educational experiences,” said TWU VP of Financial Affairs Gail Harris. “I am thankful that we've been able to keep our four-year increases 8 percent lower than the national average* - allowing our students to graduate with less debt and even no debt in some cases.”

For TWU graduate students, Master’s in Occupational Therapy tuition will increase $300 per semester, however, Master of Arts in Teaching, Master of Science in Nursing, and Master of Business Administration will all remain the same.
