Inspired Gifts: Bulldog Investment Club
Tennessee Wesleyan University relies on the gifts of generous donors to accomplish our mission of preparing students for lives of service and success. The Inspired Gifts series looks at recent gifts which accomplish specific purposes, often inspired by donors’ family, careers, passions, and more.
The Bulldog Investment Club is a student organization at TWU, which invests real capital
in the stock market. Under the careful direction of faculty from the Goodfriend School
of Business, the club analyzes and makes investing decisions, and has seen substantial
returns since it began in 2019.
The Bulldog Investment Club is made possible through funds donated by Ric and BJ Galberaith.
Thanks to their generosity, students aren’t simply using play money, but investing
these donated funds and seeing tangible returns. The Galberaith’s also donated the
financial stock ticker in the Ginny Elliott Financial Center inside Elliott Hall,
the home of the Goodfriend School of Business.
The Bulldog Investment Club is open to students from any major who want to learn the
principles of investing, and is only possible thanks to the generosity of the Galberaith's.
