While on vacation in Charleston, South Carolina, two Tennessee Wesleyan University students were involved in a serious car accident. The students' vehicle was struck by a driver who was fleeing from police in a stolen vehicle.

Blake McCaslin is headed back to his alma mater, having been named the new Assistant Vice President for Advancement at Tennessee Wesleyan University. McCaslin most recently served as Director of Business Development for Starr Regional Medical Center in Athens and Etowah.

TWU Social Work Program Earns Accreditation

The Bachelor of Social Work program at Tennessee Wesleyan University joined an elite group of Tennessee programs earlier this summer, receiving accreditation during the June meeting of the Commission on Accreditation (COA) of the Council on Social Work Education (CSWE). The accreditation is an important leap forward for the TWU undergraduate program.
