You’ve always wanted to finish your degree, but something took a more important role. Maybe a job became more important, or you decided to focus on your family or serve in the military. Maybe you just weren’t certain what you wanted to do yet.

 

Whatever the reason, TWU can help you accomplish your goal of finishing your bachelor's in management through the Management Excellence program.

 

The Management Excellence (ME) program at Tennessee Wesleyan allows working adults to complete their Bachelor of Science in Management through online courses. The ME program is for adults who, like you, want to earn their degree while balancing families, jobs, and all of life's demands.

Flexibility: You choose when you start classes, how you schedule courses, and where you will attend classes. The ME program is offered online in an asynchronous format.

Affordability: Each course is $1,080 ($360 per-credit-hour). Be sure to file your FAFSA to identify how much federal and state aid you qualify for.

Personalization: Tailor your experience through one of our four emphases:

•Healthcare Management

Career paths are endless for someone with a bachelor’s in Management. Many students find that the ME program opens doors to promotion and leadership positions in their current career or field. Other students join the ME program looking for a career change. Whatever the case, the ME program will help set you on the path to achieving your career goals.

If you have previously completed college credit, the Management Excellence program can help you finish your degree in approximately 16 months.

•You must be at least 23 years of age.
•You must have a minimum of three years of work experience.
•You must have completed at least 60 semester hours or an associate degree with a minimum 2.0 GPA at a post-secondary institution

Management Strategy

As a capstone course, all business functions are addressed for their role in the comprehensive nature of strategic management. Developing an all-inclusive perspective and plan of selecting/creating and executing strategy for problem solving is a major outcome of the course. In conjunction with strategic management principles, students will participate in a web-based simulation and/or case studies that will promote strategic thinking and reasoning and give opportunity for strategic decision making.

Essentials of Marketing

The course is designed to integrate basic marketing theories and functions to current managerial practices for an understanding of the appropriate knowledge and skills needed in managerial positions. Students will be expected to utilize marketing theories and functions for improving managerial problems.

Information and Technology Management

This course studies the important uses of information technology in organizations. Topics include study of the analysis, design, and implementation of spreadsheet applications; information requirements and flow; system design and analysis methodologies; the generation and accumulation of data for decision making; and the implementation and control of information systems.
