Thinking about a career in engineering? You’ve got this with Tennessee Wesleyan’s new engineering science dual degree program*! Get a foundation in engineering while still gaining the critical thinking and problem-solving skills of a liberal arts education. After your first two years of foundational study, you’ll transfer to Tennessee Technological University’s nationally recognized engineering program to complete the rest of your degree in as little as two years! You’ll earn an engineering degree from TTU AND a bachelor of science in engineering science from TWU!
Our engineering science program provides you with the benefits of a close-knit campus community combined with the math and science foundation necessary to succeed at TTU. With a student to faculty ratio of 12:1, our focus is on teaching, meaning you’ll receive a personalized educational experience that will prepare you for your courses at TTU and for your future.
If you maintain TTU’s minimum required GPA throughout your courses, you’ll be able to apply your TWU credits to your engineering degree at TTU, where you can choose from 8 engineering disciplines, including civil engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering and more.
To be eligible for this program, you must have completed courses covering topics in exponential, logarithmic, and trigonometric functions. We also recommend incoming students have at least a 25 on the math section of the ACT to ensure they are fully prepared for the rigorous course load.
