TWU alumnus Jim Mosher ‘67 issues $100,000 matching challenge

Tennessee Wesleyan alumnus Jim Mosher ’67 has issued a $100,000 matching gift challenge to raise money for the Mosher Center for Student Success on campus. During the Bulldog Challenge, now through June 30, Mosher will match gifts up to a total of $100,000 to help double the impact of the funds.

“It’s a way to get more than $100,000 to the center,” Mosher said. “It’s also a possibility of drawing more alumni to the school and helping them reconnect as I have. I’d really like to see that happen.”

The Mosher Center for Student Success will focus on student success, both academically and personally, as students transition into college and throughout their time at Tennessee Wesleyan. With emphasis on career development, assisting students in choosing a major, internship and job placement, tutoring services and much more, the Mosher Center for Student Success will assist students in finding their path and ensuring they are successful students and adults.

“It was clear from our first discussion with Jim that he had a passion for connecting students with resources to find the best career path,” TWU Vice President for Advancement Randy Nelson said. “Seeing the institution’s plan for improving student success connect so seamlessly with Jim’s desire to help TWU has made this project such an exciting part of the Proud Heritage, Strong Future Campaign.  I am thrilled that he chose to challenge other alumni and friends to join him in supporting the Proud Heritage, Strong Future Campaign by issuing a dollar for dollar matching challenge to match $100,000 of his commitment. This challenge adds additional momentum to the Proud Heritage, Strong Future Campaign.”
