Tennessee Wesleyan University is pleased to offer a variety of scholarship programs designed to assist students who have demonstrated outstanding academic achievement, leadership and abilities. Students desiring to be considered for these scholarships should submit a completed application for admission, along with transcripts from their high school and any colleges they have attended. Applicants must be enrolled full time on the Athens campus or the Knoxville Nursing instructional site and be citizens of the United States or eligible non-citizens as determined by the FAFSA. Applicants are eligible for only one major institutional scholarship. The Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required for all scholarships.

A national foundation based in Nashville, Tennessee, the United Methodist Higher Education Foundation is an organization dedicated to helping students achieve their dreams. UMHEF provides scholarship aid for United Methodist students attending the 122 United Methodist-related institutions.

Any student who will have a federal credit balance for the semester is eligible to purchase books/supplies using a book voucher. At that time, only approved financial aid is considered. If the student account will reflect a credit balance due to the excess financial aid awards and payments, then the book voucher is provided to the students who have made this request. The book vouchers will be available through the 10th calendar day of each semester.
