Tennessee Wesleyan Welcomes Transfer Students
from St. Andrews University

Tennessee Wesleyan University is partnering with St. Andrews University to serve as a teach-out school for all programs offered by TWU and SAU. This will provide students a clear pathway to completion at a missionally aligned liberal arts institution. TWU commits to serving SAU students by:

  1. Providing a $1,000 supplemental scholarship in addition to the merit scholarship listed below.
  2. Waiving any application, deposit, or housing fees.
  3. Providing comparable financial aid packages so that the cost of attendance at TWU is the same or equal to the cost of attendance at SAU.
  4. Waive the residency requirement for SAU students.
  5. Accept all earned credits awarded by SAU.

Additionally, TWU will provide a faculty advisor in the area of study to evaluate credits and ensure a smooth transition and minimize the time to completion for a TWU degree. TWU offers over 80 areas of study and welcomes SAU students who might be interested in an area of study not included in the teach-out agreement. The same commitments above will be honored for any transfer student from SAU.

Transfer Financial Aid Information

TWU offers Transfer Scholarships ranging from $5,000 – $16,000 annually based on the transfer GPA. All scholarships are renewable each year while enrolled at Tennessee Wesleyan. We encourage students to file their 2024-2025 FAFSA using the TWU school code 003525. Students who have already submitted their FAFSA must wait until mid to late April to make any corrections or edits.

Tennessee residents may be eligible for the HOPE scholarship if the student met the qualifications out of high school, still meet the required benchmark GPAs, and have had continuous enrollment.

Students at Tennessee Wesleyan are eligible for the Federal Pell Grant, Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grant, and all federal student loans.

Additionally, TWU accepts VA educational benefits and offers convenient payment plans to reduce the worry of paying for a college education.
