Program Completion Times
Job-embedded candidates spend the entire program as a full-time teacher. These students have received a provisional license and typically have a certain amount of time to become full licensed to be able to remain in the classroom.
Student teaching is not required as your time spent in the classroom accounts for real-world experience and training. The secondary education emphasis will take 30 semester-hours to complete and the special education emphasis 32 semester-hours.
Job-embedded candidates could finish in as few as 12 months.
If you will remain working in your current career path, you will need to student teach to complete the requirements of this program. This will increase each area by six credit-hours to complete the program.
This track will take 15-18 months to complete, depending on your current job and personal schedule.
