Favorite class: My favorite class had to be my internship. Can I count that as a class? I mean it was 3 credits like any other class! I loved starting my podcast called Bulldog Backfield! I learned a lot and I am still learning! It may not have been in a classroom, but in reality it was because what was being taught was how to succeed in my future career.
TWU mentor: Katherine Davis! I am so blessed to have her enter my life! I did not know her my first 3 years here at TWU, but God knew when to put her in my life. I had her for Copywriting For Media my junior year and from there a bond was built. I asked her to be my supervisor over my internship and that is where a friendship was surely built! She has taught me a lot and any critiques she gives me on how I could better myself in my field I took it and ran with it! It was honestly the best feeling to have someone believe in you as much as she believed in me. Truly grateful and thankful for her!
Experience that helped you reach your goal: I would say every communications class I took is STILL helping me reach my goal of becoming a sports broadcaster! I have learned different things in each class and then being able to turn around and host TWU’s FIRST podcast and apply what I have learned in class is amazing!
How has TWU prepared you to be a Top Dawg: Tennessee Wesleyan University prepared me to be a Top Dawg before I even arrived because it was already destined and in God’s plan. I was recruited to play volleyball here and my coach at the time, Ashley Harris, definitely contributed to who I am today on the court and off. I am a hard working young lady. When thrown an obstacle I stick it out and find a way to prevail! From the administration, professors, my friends, my teammates, and more I can say have definitely help mold me for who I became as well as who I will become in the future!
