We want you to get the most out of this weekend so we have prepared some special things for you in addition to our Homecoming Events

Friday, November 10
7:00pm - Lip Sync Entertainment; Townsend Hall Auditorium
TWU Students will take the stage for an entertaining show, complete with music, choreography and creative costumes.
Saturday, november 11
8:30am to 11:30am - Coffee and on-site registration/ticket pick-up
Between Banfield Durham Hall and the commuter lot entrance
10am/11am - Women/Men Lacrosse Game
Prepare for the game with tailgate food and Bulldog Spirit. This event is cosponsored by Homecoming.
10:30am to Noon - Book signing; Sherman Hall Sullins Board Room
Author Carol Aebersold, author of The Elf on the Shelf will greet fans and sign books immediately after the awards breakfast. Books will be available for purchase.
11:30am to 1:30pm - Tailgate Picnic; The Quad
Enjoy live music, campus organization booths, face painting and inflatables for kids. Entertainment will be provided on Old College porch along with a meet and greet with TWU athletes.
2pm - Bulldog Pep Rally; The Quad
A TWU parade of cheerleaders, students, alumni, and fans will walk together to the game in full Bulldog spirit.
3pm/5pm - Women/Men Basketball Game
7:00pm-9:oopm - Bowling Party; Classic Lanes – Ticket required
Enjoy an evening bowling with the family! With your family weekend ticket, you will receive free shoe rental, unlimited games, food, and prizes!

Trinity UMC is having a special speaker for their morning worship service with kids services available at both times.
Frequently Asked Questions
Where can I lodge during Family Weekend?
Hampton Inn, Comfort Inn, and Holiday Inn Express are all giving us special rates for this weekend. When you make your reservations must mention “Tennessee Wesleyan” and make sure they give you the discount.
Does my Tennessee Wesleyan student have to pay to attend Family Weekend events?
Yes. Anyone who wants to attend the official Family Weekend events must have a ticket, including TWU students. Tickets can be purchased online here for the early bird price of $15.00 before October 28.
Will you mail our Family Weekend event tickets?
No. When you register on-line, you need to bring your proof of purchase (Eventbrite confirmation) to registration Saturday at 9am to pick up your tickets.

What else is there to do during Family Weekend?
Family Weekend and Homecoming take place the same weekend! While enjoying Family weekend, you can also attend Homecoming events. Some of these events overlap and are covered within cost of Family Weekend, such as the picnic on the quad, live music and athletic games, but others will require the purchase of a separate ticket from the Homecoming registration site.
What tourist attractions does the Athens area offer?
Here are several things that your family could choose from:
- Free Mayfield Dairy tours on Saturday
- Athens Regional Park large playground and walking areas.
- McMinn County Living Heritage Museum
- Swift Museum Foundation (Airplane)
- Sweetwater Valley Farm
- Drive out to Bald River Falls
- Lots of surrounding hiking/walking sites.
- Also, there is plenty to do in Chattanooga and Knoxville. Just ask!
