May 04, 2016
Tennessee Wesleyan is excited to announce the addition of an online MBA with a concentration in accounting to our list of available graduate programs! Starting this fall, Master of Business Administration students will be able to earn a degree with a concentration in accounting, preparing them for advanced accounting careers.
“The Tennessee Wesleyan MBA degree with a concentration in accounting features a distinctive curriculum, integrating wide range of content to ensure students are well-prepared to advance their careers,” TWC MBA Program Director Dan Gilbert said. “We are setting the pace by offering courses in both a 100% online and a hybrid (online and on-ground) format. Working professionals can earn the MBA with a concentration in accounting without interrupting their careers. Students can also attend sessions at the Athens campus and work directly with qualified faculty.”
The MBA with a concentration in accounting will also feature the Becker Professional Education CPA review for students who are interested in qualifying for the Certified Public Accountant exam.
“At Tennessee Wesleyan, the MBA with a concentration in accounting prepares the student for leadership positions within accounting, finance and taxation careers,” Gilbert said. “The accounting curriculum integrates management theory with current accounting practices. Becker review material will be integrated with each accounting course, permitting students who wish to qualify for the CPA exam to prepare for the exam and earn a MBA simultaneously.”
Featuring a fully online format, the MBA with a concentration in accounting is made of 10 courses, six core MBA classes and four accounting concentration classes. Study sessions and in-person testing are offered on the Athens campus, but courses are available fully online. Tuition is $500 per credit hour, with an additional charge for the Becker Professional Education CPA Review.
